We choose infrared heat treatment — and we’d love to share why.

First, a little clarity: infrared is not radiation in the way the word sometimes suggests. It’s simply heat delivered through light waves — similar to the warmth you feel from the sun or a heat lamp. No chemicals. No additives. Nothing artificial. Just carefully controlled heat.

Both steam and infrared use temperature to achieve the same essential goal: reducing microbial load to safe levels. What matters most is validation — a proven, carefully monitored process that ensures food safety and meets organic standards. Infrared does exactly that. Where infrared truly shines is in what it preserves.

Because it doesn’t rely on added moisture, infrared treatment helps maintain a spice’s natural structure. The color stays vibrant. The aroma remains layered and expressive. We perform 3rd party heavy metals testing on ALL products. The spice test is performed for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury and must fall within our strict specifications often 99% lower than required.
