Allspice History

Allspice, derived from the dried berries of Pimenta dioica, was discovered by Spanish explorers in the 16th century in the Caribbean. Prized for its unique blend of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg flavors, it became a key spice in global trade, widely used in Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and European cuisines.
