Spices

Evermill spices are organically grown on land that is free of synthetic fertilizers, growth regulators, insecticides, and herbicides. The spices are sourced globally and then ground in small batches, allowing us to obtain the finest quality ingredients from the source without any compromises. All spices are half a cup (or 4 fl oz.) in quantity.

Yes! Our spices are 100% organic.

How do you clean your spices?

We choose infrared heat treatment — and we’d love to share why.

First, a little clarity: infrared is not radiation in the way the word sometimes suggests. It’s simply heat delivered through light waves — similar to the warmth you feel from the sun or a heat lamp. No chemicals. No additives. Nothing artificial. Just carefully controlled heat.

Both steam and infrared use temperature to achieve the same essential goal: reducing microbial load to safe levels. What matters most is validation — a proven, carefully monitored process that ensures food safety and meets organic standards. Infrared does exactly that. Where infrared truly shines is in what it preserves.

Because it doesn’t rely on added moisture, infrared treatment helps maintain a spice’s natural structure. The color stays vibrant. The aroma remains layered and expressive. The essential oils — the very soul of the spice — are treated more gently. There’s less risk of dulling, clumping, or flavor loss.

In other words, it allows the spice to remain what it was meant to be.

How much spice is included?

Each packet includes enough product to fill up one of our 1/2 cup jars. Weights are also listed above.

What sort of testing do you perform on your spices?

We perform 3rd party heavy metals testing on ALL products. The spice test is performed for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury and must fall within our strict specifications often 99% lower than required.

This separates us as a league above many of the other spice suppliers out there as having arguably the best and most organic product around.
