Anethum graveolens

Our fragrant Dill is immediately evocative of pickles and potato salad. Its feathery green leaves have a delicate flavor of mint and citrus with a sharp aroma of caraway or licorice-like herbaceous anise. Dill’s strong, warm and fresh flavor make it an excellent seasoning, in particular complementing so many of our favorite foods like eggs, fish, salads, asparagus and avocados (plus many more!). It makes an excellent pairing with others spices like onion, basil, garlic, parsley cumin, garlic, ginger and turmeric.

One tablespoon of fresh dill weed will provide measurable amounts of vitamins A and C that support the immune system.

Dill has a long history of cultivation since ancient Egyptian times for culinary and medicinal uses.
