1 cup espresso

1 teaspoon sugar

12 cloves

¼ teaspoon organic ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon organic ground allspice

1 cup dates, pitted

In a small sauce pot warm the espresso, sugar, cloves, cinnamon and allspice.  When it comes to a simmer turn off heat, add the dates and cover until cool.  Store in a container and chill overnight.

Served with yogurt and persimmon.
